The Bermuda government has introduced updated COVID-19 protocols, offering new travel guidelines that will streamline the process for fully vaccinated travelers visiting the island. Fully vaccinated is defined as having received a full course of a COVID-19 vaccine with at least 14 days having passed since the last dose and before arrival in Bermuda. Booster shots are NOT required. The revised guidelines (which went into effect on March 7, 2022) will continue to ensure the safety of all residents and visitors, while making it even more convenient for visitors to experience all that Bermuda has to offer. Bermuda's new guidelines will require all visitors aged 12 and older to show proof of their current vaccination status. Unvaccinated children aged 11 and younger are welcome and will take on the vaccination status of the guardian traveling with them. All visitors aged 2 and older must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test result (both supervised antigen and PCR tests are accepted). The date of the PCR test must be no more than 4 days before arrival in Bermuda. The date of the supervised antigen test must be no more than 2 days prior to arrival in Bermuda.
Travelers will need to complete the "Travelers Authorization Form" with this information 1 to 3 days prior to arrival. The Travelers Authorization Form fee has been reduced from $75/person to $40/person - which includes return testing if necessary. No further testing will be required upon arrival. If the country of one's origin requires a return test, Bermuda will automatically schedule and provide return testing for travelers. As the world adjusts to the new norm of enhanced health & safety protocols, the continued safety of guests and staff members remains a top priority of the resort's management team. Pompano's current guidelines have been implemented in conjunction with Bermuda's Ministry of Health and the Bermuda Hotel Association.
UPON ARRIVAL AT THE RESORT:
Effective March 31st, 2022, Bermuda law will still require that face masks be worn inside the island's airport, hospital, taxis, public buses and ferries. However, face masks will no longer be required inside any of the resort's buildings. Anti-bacterial hand sanitizer is available throughout the main clubhouse. Pompano's staff has received training in effective hygiene habits as well as the resort's COVID-19 health & safety protocols. All of the resort's public areas receive cleaning on a regular basis, which includes frequent wiping and disinfecting of touch points like railings, surface tops, door knobs, light switches, etc.
GUEST ROOM CLEANLINESS:
Even though the resort has always had a robust cleaning program in place, they have implemented additional systems to protect their guests and employees. All guest rooms are cleaned according to government standards. Guests have the option of daily, weekly or no service from the resort's Housekeeping department, depending on their own preferences.
SUMMARY:
The resort updates their health & safety protocols on an on-going basis, whenever any changes or modifications are announced by the Bermuda government. All of the protocols are designed to help keep everyone healthy and COVID-free!
