The Pompano Beach Club is a golfer’s paradise due to Bermuda's top public golf course, the Robert Trent Jones designed Port Royal Golf Course (which has been ranked among the top public golf courses in the world) being located right next door. The first tee is only 500 yards from Pompano and many of the resort’s guest rooms have a great view of Port Royal’s oceanfront 8th green.

Tee times at Port Royal can be pre-arranged in advance of your arrival and the resort will transport both you and your clubs to/from the golf course. Port Royal has hosted the PGA Tour's annual "Bermuda Championship" tournament the past five years and will be hosting the event for a sixth consecutive year, from November 14th - 17th, 2024.  The tournament will again be broadcast on NBC's Golf Channel.

Port Royal is situated on some of Bermuda’s most beautiful oceanside terrain. Four holes on the back nine (10, 15, 16 and 18) and three holes on the front nine (7, 8 and 9) offer breathtaking ocean views, while three additional holes on the back nine (11, 12 and 13) have dramatic views of the Great Sound.

 

Port Royal's golf round rate for the general public is currently $220/person/round (including a shared golf cart). However, Pompano guests are able to play Port Royal for $180/person/round (including a shared golf cart) during this time period, by purchasing a golf voucher at the resort's front desk. Port Royal also sells discounted golf rounds via the popular GolfNow.com website, so it is always a good idea to see if GolfNow.com's rates are lower than the resort's voucher rates.

The resort's Front Desk staff will be happy to arrange golf at any of Bermuda's other public or private golf courses as well. Pompano guests are able to play at the world renowned Mid Ocean Golf Course on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, on a space available basis. Their current golf round rate is $425/person (which includes a shared golf cart). Mid Ocean is approximately a forty minute taxi ride from Pompano.

 

Belmont Hills has a few holes which offer dramatic views of Hamilton Harbour and the Great Sound. They are currently offering Pompano guests a very attractive golf round rate of $80/person (which includes a shared cart). Belmont is only a fifteen minute taxi ride from Pompano.

The Fairmont Southampton's Turtle Hill Golf Course is one of the more scenic and challenging par three courses you’ll ever play! When the wind is blowing off the South Shore, their 2,684 yard layout will require you to use most of the clubs in your bag. Their current golf round rate for Pompano guests (which must be booked by the resort for you) is $70/person, including a shared golf cart. Turtle Hill is a short ten minute taxi ride from Pompano.
